The advantages of our new fare offer

Our new fare offer has multiple benefits for passengers and facilitates the use of surface public transport and metro transport, as it happens in all European capitals, where public transport is a solution to streamline traffic and a less polluting alternative to individual transport.

Starting 1st August 2021, the transport system throughout the Bucharest-Ilfov Region changes substantially, by implementing the concept of metropolitan lines (which brings together all urban, regional and express lines), as well as by applying the temporal fares and creating several types of subscriptions and integrating the fare offer with that of the metro.

Basically, the introduction of the concept of metropolitan lines and the application of the temporal fares will allow passengers to use several public transport vehicles in the same period of time, by validating a single trip, without additional costs, as happens until now, when payment was deduced for each trip made with a vehicle. In addition, integration with the metro will allow passengers to change the mode of surface transport to underground, without paying extra for this facility.

The new subscriptions are valid for 24 hours, 72 hours, 7 days, 1 month, 6 months and 12 months and are offering more flexibility and countless facilities for passengers. For example, the new 24-hour and 72-hour subscriptions are valid for 24 hours/72 hours, unlike the old 1-day subscription, which was only valid for a few hours if it was purchased in the afternoon. We also mention that the new metropolitan monthly subscription has the same price as the old express monthly subscription (which offered passengers the possibility to use only the express lines 780, 781 and 783) and is lower than the price of the old monthly subscription valid on all regional lines, and the list of the advantages offered by the new fare offer can go on.

A: The payment of a metropolitan travel title allows the use of all lines belonging to surface public transport operators in the Bucharest-Ilfov Region, including the old urban, regional and express lines.

A: The metropolitan and metro trips allows the use of surface public transport vehicles in the Bucharest-Ilfov Region and the metro, within a period of 120 minutes.

If the validity period of the transportation title expires before finalizing the trip by surface public transport vehicles, it is necessary to pay for a new trip, by validating the card again, in order to continue the trip. On the other hand, if you have already passed the metro access gates within a period of 120 minutes, the metro trip can be continued without the need for a new card validation.

 

4. What is the validity period of the trips loaded on the nominal/non-nominal Activ card?

A: The validity period of the metropolitan trips loaded on the nominal/non-nominal Activ card is unlimited.

 

5. What is the price of the nominal Activ card according to the new fare offer?

A: The price of the nominal Activ card is the same as before the implementation of the new fare offer. At the second issue of the card it is necessary to pay 4,7 lei. The first issue is free of charge.

A: On the nominal Activ card can be loaded the following transportation titles:

• e-wallet - maximum 80 lei;
• metropolitan trips/metropolitan and metro trips - maximum 50;
• metropolitan subscription/metropolitan and metro subscription with a validity period of 24 hours, 72 hours, 7 days, 1 month, 6 months or 12 months. In addition, the nominal Activ card can be loaded with monthly metropolitan subscriptions with 50% discount, for pupils in post-secondary education, day school students and blood donors.

 

7. What is the price of the non-nominal Activ card according to the new fare offer?

A: The price of the non-nominal Activ card is the same as before the implementation of the new fare offer, more exactly 3,7 lei

A: On the non-nominal Activ card can be loaded the following transportation titles:

• e-wallet - maximum 80 lei;
• metropolitan trips/metropolitan and metro trips - maximum 50;
• metropolitan subscription/metropolitan and metro subscription with a validity period of 24 hours, 72 hours or 7 days.

 

9. What happens to the monthly subscriptions valid on all urban, regional or express lines, purchased before the implementation of the new fare offer?

     A:Monthly subscriptions valid on all urban, regional or express lines, purchased before the implementation of the new fare offer, can be used as metropolitan subscriptions, until the expiration of the validity period.

 

10. What happens to the one or two-line subscriptions purchased before the implementation of the new fare offer?

A: One or two-line subscriptions can be used until the expiration of the validity period, as before the implementation of the new fare offer.

 

11. What happens to the 1-day, 7-day or 15-day subscriptions valid on all urban lines, purchased before the implementation of the new fare offer?

      A:The 1-day, 7-day or 15-day subscription valid on all urban lines, purchased before the implementation of the new fare offer, can be used as metropolitan subscriptions, until the expiration of the validity period.

 

12. How can be used the e-wallet loaded on the nominal/non-nominal Activ card?

A:The e-wallet can only be used for metropolitan trips. Thus, once the transport card is validated, the amount of 3 lei will be deducted from the e-wallet, representing the equivalent value of a metropolitan trip.

 

13. What is the price of the Multiplu card according to the new fare offer?

A:For the issuance of the Multiplu card, it is no longer necessary to pay the amount of 1,6 lei, as before the implementation of the new fare offer. The Multiplu card is issued free of charge, if it is loaded with minimum 2 trips.
